Mentoring/Coaching
Individual Mentoring/Coaching I provide individual Mentoring Programmes that focus on the relationship between setting life, training or employment goals and considering disability, injury or illness related needs. Each Mentoring Programme is individually designed to meet the specific needs of the person involved. Generally a programme consists of at least six one-hour individual meetings to develop an Action Plan for the future. Associated preparation and follow-up is also undertaken. When facilitating these Mentoring Programmes, I draw upon my experience as a disabled person who has also managed services assisting the disability community. In the past I have provided Mentoring for disabled people and those with an injury or illness referred by:

Mentoring Programmes
Over the past 3 years I have developed and coordinated a mentoring programme for CCS Disability Action in Christchurch, initially shaped in association with Karen Rickerby.
This mentoring is for disabled Secondary School students, aged between 13 -18 years, who are linked up with an adult mentor with disability.
This programme and its associated systems could easily be adapted for another organisation. It would include recruitment, administrative and monitoring processes and a training package for the students and mentors.
