How have I overcome the challenges I have faced?

The secret to my success has been the wonderful support that I have received from my family and developing practical solutions to reduce the impact of my disability in a range of settings.

I’ve been married to Nicky for fifteen years and we have our five year old twin boys, Tim and Jack, who you can see in the photos.

As a family we really enjoy the outdoors - cycling, ski-ing, sea-kayaking, etc. With parenting I have tried to use the same ‘can do attitude’ that I try to use in other areas of life. Rather than thinking 'I have a disability so we can’t do these things', we instead think 'how can we make it happen'.
