Do you want to arrange disability equity training for your staff?

I offer a range of half or full-day disability related training packages for staff within state, social service and private sector organisations.

Each training programme is tailored to meet the specific needs of a group. For example, some organisations like to focus on improving their services to the disability community, while others like to focus on solutions to enhance support of disabled staff.

What does my staff training involve?

With the majority of my work I am contacted by a specific organisation to develop and present a training package, rather than tendering for this work. Most of my training programmes cover issues to do with disability, mental illness, the Deaf community, those with long-term injury or illness and can also cover specific material related to the organisation, policy, legislation and research. Throughout all of this training I use practical examples from my lived and professional experience of disability.

Some organisations prefer to spread their training programme over two half days. This can be accommodated. My preparation includes the development of practical training resources that participants can take away.
